Holmenkol, the company at the forefront of research and development of ‘nano’ technology coatings, will be showcasing four key products on Stand 05.301 at METS.    WoodCleaner + Brightener and WoodProtector protects and enhances teak and other hard wood decks, restoring original deck colour, and providing a fully water resistant, non-slip deck surface protected from salt, algae and moss and UV rays. SportPolish and AquaSpeed work together to provide long term protection from weathering and reduced friction between the water and hull, improving a boat’s performance, and providing a long term protective shield against UV, oil, dirt and acids on hulls, decks, and masts.  SealnGlide’s surface glaze creates a slippery, water and dirt repellent surface. Used on sailcloth this enables faster sail setting, increases the tear strength, prevents snagging, and provides protection against fungicides, UV rays, and sail washing detergents.

Holmenkol’s coatings comprise tiny (nano) particles which bond to the surface of the material they are applied to, creating a completely covered multi layered coating.  The layered structure means that the coating resists abrasion, because if one layer is damaged, a deeper layer is exposed and acts as a protection to the rest.
