Philipp and Julian Autenrieth from the Bavarian Yacht Club won as well the International German Masters 2008 at the Chiemsee, after winning the German Youth Championships in July.

In rainy, cold weather and difficult wind conditions 79 teams competed to find the new German Master of the 420 class. Six races were sailed. Three of them the brothers Autenrieth won. In the end they became German Master with healthy margin. Therewith they also lead the qualification for the World Masters 2009
